The Sperone Golf Course is now considered one of the most beautiful in the world, thanks in large part to the 16th hole, which offers a shot over a dazzling turquoise sea. Its construction was initiated by Jacques Dewez and Jean Kerguen, who would go on to become the club’s first president. To design the course, they enlisted the help of a legend in the form of Robert Trent Jones Sr., one of the world’s most renowned golf course architects, with projects throughout France, Spain, the Caribbean, and Asia, and inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame for his contribution to the evolution of the sport.
