Located north of Calvi and south of Ile Rousse Lumio is certainly one of the most known and appreciated villages of Balagne. The town extends over a territory of 4 km, bordered by a granitic coast emblematic of the Balanin seaside, to the rocky ridges above the village.

A space that consists of several sectors each having their quality. First of all, the village itself, with its traditional granite houses and preserved heritage. Further down is the plain planted with vineyards and olive trees. Finally located at the seaside Sant’Ambroggio’s navy, which has a long history of strong development and which today houses the most beautiful homes by the sea.

The peculiarity of the village is its dominant position on the bay of Calvi and its pedestrian center which highlights the old buildings typical of Balagne. Indeed you will discover there number of houses of old time, residences with the Genoese architecture and renovated sheep-folds said “Caseddi”. Note also the former village of Occi now abandoned but offers a walk of the most famous to enjoy a panoramic view of the sea and the entire coastline below.
